VERY NICE VINTAGE CHRISTIAN DIOR BEADED BELT!  THIS HAS TIES WITH BLACK BEADED BALLS ON THE ENDS TO TIE IT AROUND YOUR WAIST.  BLACK SILK LINING.  BELT IS IN WONDERFUL CONDITION WITH NO MISSING BEADS OR FUNNY SMELLS.  THE GLIMMER IN PICTURES IS THE SUN ON THE BEADS AS NO BEADS ARE MISSING.  THE INSIDE LABEL READS CHRISTIAN DIOR CEINTURES PARIS NEW YORK HANDMADE IN CHINA.  I DON'T SEE ANY TAG WITH A SIZE ON IT.  THE WIDEST SECTION OF THE BEADED PART OF THE BELT IS 3" IN WIDTH.  INSIDE BEADED SECTION IS ABOUT 23" LONG.  END TO END INCLUDING THE TIES IS ABOUT 50".

The women from this community have been hand weaving this type of belts on a
back strap looms for centuries (see photo)

These belts have been transported and traded with the Mayan Women of Guatemala from historic times.
The measurements are below.
1.) White & Yellow
:  2 inches wide & 60 inches long (not including the Fringe).
2.) Olive Green & White:  2 1/4 inches wide & 60 inches long (not including the Fringe).
3.) Dark Green & White:  2 1/2
inches wide & 61 inches long (not including the Fringe).
4.) Black & White:  2 1/8 inches wide & 61 inches long (not including the Fringe).
5.) Purple
& White:  1 7/8 inches wide & 61 inches long (not including the Fringe).
6.) Pink
& Greenish Gray:  2 inches wide & 58 inches long (not including the Fringe).
These belts come from the same community as the belts that Pippa Holt sells to accompany her Kaftans for 5+ times my price....
The weaving from this community is very reasonably priced, and the images that they incorporate into their weavings are often very traditional but can also be playful to.
Some of the belts that I offer here have images of the famous Plumed Dancers as well as rabbits, birds, scorpions and other animals woven into them.

in Mexico you are helping to support these women and help save their cultural traditions and history..
